The gratifications of laughter

Laughter is contagious. When one of our friends cracks a joke that only some of us find funny, the initial laughs may sometimes cause everyone else to laugh out loud. Laughing out loud may also be an exercise.

Laughter helps to expand alveoli in your lungs and increases the oxygen distribution throughout the body. Laughing also releases endorphins which could relieve stress. There is even a form of yoga called Laughter Yoga that involves prolonged voluntary laughter. Whether you laugh for better oxygen delivery to your body, stress relief or yoga, laughing is a good way to share some positive energy with others.
